CJ Crain is a licensed cosmetologist, certified hair loss practitioner, and the proud owner of CJ’s Chair — a salon and hair and scalp wellness studio based in Nashville, TN. A single mom of two boys and a Nashville resident since 2016, CJ brings a down-to-earth approach to hair restoration that blends science with soul. She’s been a part of the Sola Salon community since 2018, and when she’s not helping clients transform their hair, you’ll find her at Friday night football games or relaxing outdoors by the pool.

For years, I loved being a stylist, but I knew I wanted to do more. Beauty school taught me how to color, cut, and style, but it didn’t prepare me to address hair thinning, shedding, or hair loss — topics many clients struggle with but few professionals feel equipped to discuss.
Then it happened to me. My own hair started falling out, quickly, dramatically, and stressfully. While raising two boys and managing life as a self-employed mom, I felt overwhelmed, searching for solutions like wigs, toppers, and clip-in bangs. That journey led me to Xtreme Total Care and the United States Trichology Institute, where I discovered how to truly understand and treat hair loss. Today, I help client regain their confidence and take control of their hair health. Whether it's restoring thinning hair, refreshing a blonde, covering gray, or adding length and volume with extensions, I combine technical expertise with a personalized, one-on-one approach.
