Could it be Telogen Effluvium?

Hair grows in a natural cycle that includes active growth (anagen), a brief transition (catagen), and a resting phase (telogen). Telogen Effluvium occurs when a larger than normal number of hair follicles shift prematurely into the resting resting phase. Several weeks to months later, this can lead to a noticeable shedding and thinning. The good news? Telogen Effluvium is often temporary and reversible once the underlying trigger is addressed

Signs You May Be Experiencing Telogen Effluvium

Increased Shedding
You may notice more hair than usual in your brush, shower drain, or on your pillow. Even gentle tugging may lead to more hair fall than expected.
Diffused Thinning
Rather than distinct bald patches, the hair may appear thinner across the entire scalp, especially on the crown. Hair might feel less sense overall.
Scalp Sensations
While not common, some individuals report mild tenderness or itchiness of the scalp.

If you are seeing these changes, DON"T PANIC! Telogen Effluvium is typically reversible. However, identifying the underlying cause is key to creating an effective care plan.

Common Triggers of Telogen Effluvium

Physical or emotional stress
Illness or high fever
Surgery or Trauma
Nutritional Deficiencies
Rapid weight loss
Crash dieting
Postpartum changes
Hormonal shifts
Stopping birth control
Getting the proper evaluation is essential. Identifying the root cause helps guide the customized care plan.

Final Note: While Telogen Effluvium can be distressing, it's often temporary and manageable. If you are concerned about unexplained hair shedding or thinning, seeking professional evaluation is an important first step toward regrowth and peace of mind.
