Meet CJ

Hi, I’m CJ—the owner of CJ’s Chair.
As both a Certified Associate Trichologist and licensed cosmetologist, I look at hair from two perspectives—what may be happening with your hair and scalp, and how we can help your hair look and feel its best right now.
My work in hair and scalp wellness is also personal. After experiencing hair changes myself, I learned how confusing it can be to search for answers while trying to sort through conflicting information and decide what actually makes sense for you.
Today, I combine my education in trichology and hair loss with years of professional salon experience to help clients navigate hair loss, thinning, shedding and scalp concerns while also caring for the hair they have.

Do you work with men?
Yes. While many of my clients are women, Hair & Scalp Consultations and hair-loss and scalp wellness services are available for men as well. Recommendations are personalized based on your individual hair, scalp, history and goals.
Do I need to know what’s causing my hair loss before scheduling?
No. If you’re experiencing increased shedding, thinning, changes in density or something about your hair or scalp simply doesn’t seem right, a Hair & Scalp Consultation is a great place to start.
We’ll discuss what you’ve been experiencing, review your hair and scalp history, take a closer look at your scalp and talk through the next steps that may be appropriate for you.
Do I have to be experiencing hair loss to come to CJ’s Chair?
Not at all. CJ’s Chair also offers professional salon services with a special focus on the needs of fine, thin and thinning hair. You’re welcome whether you’re concerned about hair loss or simply want a stylist who understands your hair type.
Can I still color or highlight my hair if it’s thinning?
In many cases, yes. Thinning hair doesn’t automatically mean giving up the color or style you love. Your hair and scalp condition, density and goals are considered when planning salon services so we can choose an approach that makes sense for your hair.
Do you diagnose hair-loss or scalp conditions?
As a Certified Associate Trichologist, I provide hair and scalp assessments, education and non-medical hair and scalp wellness support. When something I see may require medical evaluation, I’ll recommend following up with a dermatologist, physician or other appropriate healthcare professional.
What if I’m not sure which service I need?
